I would like to install an after market stereo. Please advise how to remove factory unit and will a regular din stereo fit without a dash installation kit. Also is a wiring harness availlable so that I do not have to tap into the factory wiring.

Do you have full 'double' din units in Canada?
If so, you will need a Single Din adaptor kit, there is a kia to iso adaptor available.

I just installed a new Kenwood deck, and It was a flawless very clean istalation. I needed no adapter kit, and everything is still just like the factory, so if I needed to I could put the original deck in there in under 15 minutes no problem. All I needed was a wiring harness a screw driver and a drill.

The factory stereo is mounted on two metal brackets, one on each side. These brackets also hold the tray below the factory deck. the only modification I had to make was to drill slightly bigger holes in the two brackets to accomodate the mounting screws that came with the deck. So the new deck sits right where the old one did, mounted to the same metal brackets. Perfect

My Rio didn't come with a stereo so I had to get a dash kit. Also, a hyundai accent 4 door 2000+ wireing kit should work just fine to install the stereo. Don't get the Kia Rio wireing kit as it is for the first gens and is different.
