We bought our car in 12/02, and it overheated about a month ago. the dealer wasn't able to find any problem with it. last night the check engine light came on so this morning we took it to be diagnosed and it came back as "coolant temperature colder below thermostat regular temperature" and I called the dealer and they said it would be fine until wedenesday when i'm off work. when my husband came back from getting it checked, the cd player, the clock and the hazard lights are out. the fuses are fine. this evening the running lights are out, too. can we make it until wednesday? (it has to make 3 round trips to work) does anyone have any idea what the deal is? is it a common problem?

The CD player, clock etc is controlled by the 'shunt' fuse, in the engine bay fuse box, it's the fuse surround in a yellow puller.

Deffantly check the shunt fuse first!!!! It has been known to blow a lot. It has also been known to work its way loose! Good luck.
