Ok so my '01 still won't start, but I am now finally getting the ecu to read on my scanner. What I'm asking is does anyone know were I can find the limit or requirements for all my sencers? I'm getting iac valve, evap, and tranny codes that just became preset. I'm sure its wires. So I just need limits. Any help? I don't think its the part. But a voltage limit would confirm this. PLEASE help.

If you can, sign up at the kiatechinfo website (see link in my sig.) using Internet Explorer (see site requirements on main page) - then you can access & view the Service Info. for your 2001 Rio, including the sensor tests and voltage/resistance values,

If no joy on signing up, post back w/ (which) sensors you need info for, will try to help, have a busy weekend coming up, but will check in.. (Other folks can feel free to jump in and help also.. )

What are the codes please give us some numbers. Are you really sure the main relay contacts are ok. Just by looking at my Kia schematic book that seems to be the common denominator for your problem IAC/ EVAP/ if it is a voltage problem or the ems fuse. How did you get it to talk thru OBDII and not the hiscanpro port , just asking. Good luck with it and keep us informed. Reguard's Ronjohn

Codes are as follows. These are all P codes. 1505, 1507, 0445, 0753, 0758, 1780, 0713.

Maybe I mistaken which main relay I was lookin at. It's in the engine relay block yeah?

Yes that's where it is. try swaping it with the headlight relay. just something else quick to try. that relay supplies 12 VDC to to alot of things injectors, cam and crank sensors, fuelpump relay coil, iac and others check out kiatech schematics to help and do go over the wiring and grounds in the engine compartment. There are short connectors (SC) that route the 12VDC to these components. good luck with it. Reguard's Ronjohn

Unless I'm mistaken. But I don't see any others like it. As far as my fuse box says. The clear topped black one with the 2 power wires on either side is the main?

No that's not it that is an 80 amp main fuse the relay you want is # 35 main relay swap it with # 38 thats the horn relay. Hope this helps. Reguard's Ronjohn
