Yeah, they can be tricky to find. One rental I had there was no button, nothing. -You just had to press the flap intself while the car was unlocked. Took a while to discover that. Ford strikes again!
Had an Alfa with a non-intuitive petrol cap; there was a key to LOCK the internals of the cap, then you could remove it, otherwise it would simply spin. That took a while to figure out as well; at one stage, I had a helpful garage attendant advancing on my new car with a jemmy bar. No thanks!
