Question 2003 Kia Rio speedometer problem

Hi, i have a 2003 Kia Rio and the Speedometer isn't working. I checked the hood and suddenly it started to work for about 10 minutes but now is back to not working. Sounds to me like a loose connection. Only problem is that i don't know where to look. can someone help me out?

Thanks.

Hey jenricae, Check you vehical speed sensor, connector, and wires it's located on top of the tranny (auto) down below the throttle plate kinda hard to get at i replaced mine from below with car on ramps to small bolts hold it on just don't yank on the wires remove the connector correctly. My speedometer would work then jump around alot then it quit altogether use Kia Global Information System (KGIS) to help with location free yo USA residents just have to register. Or look up the part at autozone or rock auto look at the picture to help also. Good luck I hope this was helpfull. Reguards Ronjohn

i have brought my kia rio 2004 from spain to uk tthe speedo is KPH i need MPH to pass mot. Also can the headlamps be adjusted enough, ie the whole unit,or has the bulb shield to be moved

i need to change my speedo from KPH to MPH any tips.i would prefer not to have to change tthe complete unit. Also is there any adjusters to move the whole headlamp units and will it be enough for change from driving on other side of road
