Welcome to the forum.

I'm not familiar with that model, but I'm sure you'll find the information you've asked for on the KiaTech web site - see my sig for link.

For service info register (free) with KiaTechInfo and click on 'Shop' on the left, and for elect schematics click on 'ETM'.

Quality and not quantity counts.

ron1004,
Reading over the form & web site you gave me all the info I needed to fix my car.

Thanks
Rett

PS.
I wished I know of the Kia Forum when I got my car. I got it used and it had 59k mils on then. Before the timimg belt whent out the car has over 90k now. With any luck I have the car back on the road in a few days. Thanks again for your help.

You're welcome.

Do you know that the Rio has an interference engine, so if your timing belt did go, your engine will most likely need to be replaced.

You can't set timing on a Rio, it has a distrubutor less ignition, timing is controlled by the ECM
