Default fuel injector connector clip

I have a broken connector retaining clip for one of my fuel injectors. Anyone know where to get a replacement?

You can try autozone or advanced auto or any local auto part store. If you have no luck with them then the dealership will have them but look around first because odds are the dealership will charge you the most out of everyone.

never under estimate the power of my RIO:cool:

What kiario04 said.

However, in my inexpert opinion, such an odd-ball part is unlikely to be found anywhere other than the dealer. I don't know this for sure, that's just my experience with parts that aren't "standard."

Also, before anybody else jumps on your back about it, you might consider completing your profile. When offering advice it can help to know what part of the world you are in, what auto parts retailers are available to you, etc...

I found somebody on EBAY who was parting out a 2002 Rio & had the harness with spring clips for sale. Price was $15. It was cheap at twice the price. I spent the afternoon trying to track this part down. None of the parts stores had it. No junkyards in my area had it.
The dealer wanted to make me buy the whole harness at $195 to get this 25 cent part. I wonder if the other manufacturers operate the same way? Hell of a way to do business.
How do I complete my Profile?

Default Profile

In the upper right of the screen should be a link that will allow you to register for an account on this site. Nothing serious, it just helps to let people know if they can even help by recommending a particular parts store or scrapper in your area.

And yes, that's pretty much standard with Kia dealers, and any others I've encountered. I recently replaced my clutch and came across a broken bolt holding the clutch release lever and clutch release fork together. This bolt, which was unique only insofar as it was flanged, slightly tapered, and had a bit of red loctite on the threads, cost nearly $9 from the dealer. They were the only place to get it as well. I'm a sales rep for one of the world's largest distributors of fasteners of all types and even I couldn't get it. It is a nice racket they have going.

ETA: Ok, forget my first paragraph, as you're obviously already registered. Left side of the screen, in the Site Navigation box, is a link called User CP. Clicking that will take you to your control panel. There, find a link to Edit Profile. There you should be able to add some basic info about yourself.

OMG someone actually wanting to complete their profile so we can help them. Wonders will never cease.

Sorry to say this way of doing business is very common among all mfg.

No. I needed the spring clip that holds the electrical connector onto the injector. The one you showed is the clip that holds the injector to the fuel rail. Anyway I found the part I need on EBAY.
