Auto vs Manual Hubs?

Well I have yet another hub question. I have manual locking warn hubs on my car right now, but they are not working right took them off and tested them, and they are not good. So I am going to get a new set. My question is, should i get another pair of the manual ones or spring the few extra dollars and get those auto locking hubs. Another question How do those auto locking hubs work, and do they need the vacuum system??

It depends on what type of driving you do. If your doing rock crawling and lots of off road stuff, I would get the manuals. If you are using it for a grocery getter/paved road mostly then get the automatics.

Automatics do not use vacuum. They are similar to the 95-97 style but stronger built.

If your going to toss the old ones out, let me know and I'd like to have them (all the pieces).

Yeah when I get my new ones ill pm you. All I use my Kia for is work I just want 4wd for snow and the occasional off road excursion nothing to extreme do you have to lock the auto ones in at all how do they work is it hard to install hem

Should install the same as the manuals. Just put your rig in 4wd and they automatically lock. To unlock them you have to stop, put in 2wd, and back up about 10-15 feet.
