looking for cheap scanner,any ideas where to get one.

The Actron brand scanners can picked up fairly cheap from just about any parts store. There are different models, from basic code readers to ones that display data.

This is the one i just purchased because it was a very good price and it can do realtime scanning.

The Autel MS509, has proven to be consistent in my shop..(purchased $59.00 a yr ago).... Philip

I bought this ELM327 V1 5 OBDII OBD2 Can Bus USB Auto Diagnostic Interface Scanner | eBay and this for my 1g sportage Kia 20 Pin to 16 Pin Female Car OBD2 OBD II Diagnostic Adapter Connector Cable | eBay Very cheap, but does the job.

I have the OBD2 connector on the bottom of my dash, Am I going to need the adapter? I do also have the Data connector under the hood. Thought maybe since I have the OBD2 I Shouldn't need the adapter?

If your car has obd2, you dont need adapter.

Mine has only kia 20pin connector.
