Unhappy Master Window Switch

Good afternoon all! I have been battling with this master window switch for weeks and its driving me nuts! Have a 2000 kia sportage. Bought a master switch off ebay, said it fit my model. Part came off 98. The clips didnt match up. Asked my ex to install it and he cut to old harness clip off, and plucked all the wires without making any note of them at all, ugh!!! so I have been scouring the net for weeks trying to find wiring diagrams. I had followed a diagram I found on autozones site and had the passenger rear working. it was a stark contrast from what was on kias tech site. I am very mechanically inclined, but cant figure out what the heck the diagram means, and the wiring colors are not the same. All I need to know it what wire colors go into the # on the clip. Any help or direction would be very much appreciated. also, when he cut the wires to the clip, he did it way too short and I cant splice into the clip anymore, cant I go direct into the main clip and bypass having the 2 yoked? I cant find anywhere to get the clips, tried every auto parts store including napa.I included some pics and the snippet from autozone, but it doesnt cover all the wires there and I dont think it matches up to the 98 switch

I had bought a new one from ebay with the same problem. If you orientate them the same direction, you can figure out the colors. get paper and a pen, start with one window. I had to keep flipping it over, but was able to take notes and complete the task. My problem was the wires kept coming unplugged using the crimping method with those little plastic things. So I had to bend the wires together, then shrink wrap.
I too had some real short. I did those first. This was a real annoying job, but it did operate all the windows when done. Too bad that was the best operating thing in the car.

I own my second Sportage so I must really like em. I consider this one to be my second husband. Main issue with mine was the Timing Key(woodruff)

I too had same problem buying off ebay. The first one I got had wrong connector so instead of messing around trying to make it work I got another one off ebay. Luckily this one turned out to be right and although it said it was working when I put it in nothing. Once I took it apart and took emery cloth to all the contacts and put it back all the windows were working.

Anyway maybe you can rewire your old one back in and if you're handy take it apart and clean it with sandpaper or emery cloth. If you do decide to go this way just make sure you are careful when separating the switch halves so that you don't lose any of the contacts inside.
