hold flashing & check engine light on

[b][size="4"]Hold light is flashing on the instrument panel alond with the shcek engine light on constant. The book says its an electrical problem with the tranny. Just bought the 2k sportage with 43k on it real clean, can anyone tell me what the problem is and the possible cost of the repairs.

First you are going to have to find out what the codes are that are making the engine light stay on then go from there.
