Default 2000 transfer case shift problem

I have a 2000 Sportage 5 speed that needed a new clutch. Replaced it with help from a friend. We took both the transmission shift lever and the transfer case shift lever off.

Problem we are having is that we cannot get the transfer case to go into 2 wheel drive and can only shift the transmission when the transfer case is in neutral.

I think we put the transfer case shifter with the shift forks in the wrong locations. Don't have a manual and have not been able to find one at the local auto shops.

How do we get the transfer case shifter in the right direction in order to find all gears.

Second problem is the hole for the bolt for the hydraulic clutch has become oblong. What are some other solutions for fixing this. Thought about removing the pedal and welding the hole and then drilling it. Tried to weld a washer on either side, but couldt quite fit. Any other solutions.

Thanks

Try this link for the manual. I wouldn't do a lot of headscratching and tinkering until I saw something in B&W.
Good Luck, Dave
