Default power window issue

Hi all.. Hoping someone has had the same issue...

2002 sportage. passenger window no longer works. When I hit either button nothing happens. It started with just sometimes the button would not work and then it would. Now it is dead completely. Luckily its up

Any idea where I should start? My first guess would be a loose contact in the passenger door. I've checked the fuses already.

THANKS!

My issue is similar. Right now I have checked all the fuses and they are all fine, the relays works, etc. No power is getting to the window switch. If I could figure out which one of the cables to supposed to be hot I could just reroute the power. Anyone have any idea which one it is?

Hi, I read somewhere back on this forum that some were having issues with one of the conectors feeding the doors (mainly passenger I believe) which gets pulled with use (i.e.opening and closing door). I have a CD with User and Workshop manuals on for all models 1995 - 2002 (it says) - I had a look and it has loads of pictures showing connectors and locations and of course all wiring diagrams so if you like I could do you a copy for £5 GBP (8$ usa) and that would include postage just to cover costs. To pay via Paypal as they do automatic currency conversion too. If this is of help let me know on philsbargainstore@gmail.com. Regards.

the problem is in the driver's side door. that is where the passenger gets it power from the master switch. there is a broken connection where the harness goes from the door to the body of the car. can't remember which wire it is but if you pull up a schematic it's not hard to find.

go to the ETM section and put in your vehicle's model, year, and engine type and you'll be able to find all the schematics. go to the power window schematics. i would post one on here but i'm at work and can't post one until i get home.

Mine is doing the same thing, I guess it will go altogether soon. The power window on the drivers side seems like it tries to go up even more when it's already up.
