Have Had Issues With What The Dealer Says Is Bad Grounds. Vehicle Was Stuck In Limp In Mode And The Nearest Dealer Is 20 Miles Away. Had It Towed In. $385 Later It Was Fixed??? They Cleaned And Re Connected 7 Or 8 Grounding Points. Six Weeks Later Same Deal. Got It Back To Dealer Where They Removed, Cleaned And Re Routed A Dozen Grounding Spots As Well As Redid Some Of The Hot Wires.
Anyone Else Had Similar Problems And If So Did You Get Long Term Results?? The Dealer Said That The Next Episode Will Require A New Wiring Harness At A Premium Price.
Answers Advice ???? Thanks

it was stuck in limp mode and there wasn't a DTC? i'd like to know how they figure it was a bad ground or a bad wiring harness. something has to throw it into a limited power/limp home mode and if they fixed the grounds i really doubt it's a ground or power problem.

I Don't Know What A Dtc Is, I Am Not That High Tech, But Would Appreciate Any Input That You Would Have. Thank You.

diagnostic trouble code. There should have been some codes you could have pulled off of the computer to tell you what was causing the limp mode. I had a bad starter on my kia and the dealer had the car for 2 weeks and couldn't find anything wrong so they cleaned my grounds and told me they think they fixed it. 3 days later the starter wouldn't turn over again. A dealership sometimes will take the easiest least time consuming route to fixing your problem.. even if it cost you a load of money for the parts. Get a code reader and pull your diagnostic codes. It will give you a starting point. My car had no diagnostic codes, but my car didn't go into limp mode.
