knock senor

hey guys where is the knock sensor 1 located at on the 2001 kia sportage motor had a check engine light come up on my and took it to autozone and the pcm has determined that the voltage signal from knock sensor 1 is out of range for the current engine operating conditions. (bank 1 or single sensor) (bank 1 identifies the location of cylinder #1 , while bank 2 identifies the cylinders on the opposite bank)

Its on the same side of the block as the oil filter is and just behind the oil filter.

when u say behind do u mean next to it with a long wire thats connect to it that gose up to the top of the motor

It is on the side of the block toward the firewall. It looks like a round plastic black cap with a bolt through the middle.
