235/75 15's don't rub on my stock 2 door running on stock wheels. A 1 3/8 inch body lift is a pain due to all the stuff you have to watch plus bending of the shifters was a hassle. 30 9.50 15's usually don't rub with a 3" suspension lift. 31 10.50 15's will rub with a 4" lift. I had to roll the fender back a little and pound the seam flat behind the front wheels. The rear tires may rub under full articulation on the rear shock due to the panhard rod.
Even a 4" suspension lift on a 1st gen Sportage doesn't bother the drivetrain parts due to different angles. (cause undo wear)
The COG does change and you need to be aware if it and drive accordingly. Your days as a 4 wheel drift road racer are over.
As far as cutting fenders and such, you can do that, I personally wanted to keep it where I could sell it easier and thought uncut fenders would help. Just my personal taste.
Also, with the 3" or 4" suspension lift, there have been no reported problems with aligning it. You may find, however, that you have some worn out parts in your front end during the lifting process.
