01 Sportage Door alarm malfunction

Help!!!

I'm about to go postal! My open door warning light and bell are ringing almost constantly. I KNOW it's wiring because when I hit bumps or brake or accelerate, the thing flickers on and off. This has been going on and off for a month. IT"S MAKING ME NUTS!!!

I can't find the wire...

Does anyone know where it is and how to fix it, please???

Does your dome light come on as well? I had a similar problem with my seat belt triggering the door bell.

I had a similar problem with my 02 convertable -- ultimately traced (by the dealer) to an after-market alarm/start system that I had installed (with 35 miles on it). According to the tech that did the debug stuff at the dealer, the alarm install guys carved up a bunch of wires to find the correct one to control the door locks where the wires go through the frame of the body into the hinged part of the door. All I know is that strange stuff happened when it rained, or when I hit a bump in the road... if you are in a similar situation, I'd suggest taking it back to the alarm guys and see what they say.
