Default 96 sportage pulls under acceleration ????

Got a 96 sportage recently and repaired the harness after reading here on this forum and it runs and drives great except for the fact that it pulls left slightly when accelerating and then corrects itself back when you let off or are coasting. Any ideas ??? I got under and looked at everything that connects the rearend to the chassis and everything looks OK but I am missing something. It's ok at slower speeds and you don't notice it much but from 45 on up you know it. The front end looks good also. This is also with my 4wd off. It is an automatic with no play in the front end what so ever tie rods ball joints etc. It's like the RR wheel pushes forward and pushes the truck towards the left slightly but enough you can feel it and like I said when you let off it corrects to what is normal. No trailer hitch at least not yet as I am looking for a reciever currently to pull an occasional lawnmower trailer with. I anyone has an old used one with a 2" reciever let me know. It is in alignment and no abnormal tire wear is noticed according to a local shop. They didn't see anything either.

Thanks,

Carl Ford

I just bought a 2001. It does the same thing. Mechanic said to check the rear shocks and springs - if they are worn unevenly or a spring is broken, the weight will not transfer evenly under acceleration, causing the car to lean and the front wheel alignment to shift. I have NOT confirmed this yet.
