The ECM controls the fuel pump relay and the ignition coils.
It is often the case when a timing belt goes that the ECM does not see pulses from the camshaft position sensor and then does not fire the ignition coils - I know you've changed the timing belt recently, but I would start by checking that it's still OK and the valve timing is correct.
A bad crank position sensor, or camshaft position sensor could also cause this problem.
Unlikely to be your current problem, but the Kia's don't like plugs other than the standard NGK and these gapped at 0.75mm (0.03").
