Hello everyone I have just purchased a 2000 Sportage and am new to the forum. I bought the Sportage mainly to take hunting so I would have something with 4wd and hopefully get good gas mileage. I would appreciate if some info if someone would please help. I didn't get an owners manual with the Sportage. Could some one please tell me where I can find or maybe post for me the fluid capacities and recommended fluids. I am going to do a full service of the fluids (engine, transmission, transfer case, differentials) before my first trip. I want to make sure I put the right stuff in and have enough on hand to do the service before I get started. Also what gas mileage should I expect? 2000 Sportage, 4 dr, hardtop, 4wd, 5-speed. Goos luck with the millage thing. I could never get more than 15 in city and 19 highway. That do very well off road.

That is what I have seen on some of the internet forums which has me worried. A friend had one and he got 25 mpg out of his. I just assumed it had to get good gas mileage being so light and such a small motor. I have not drove it enough to check it yet but should by the end of the week. Thanks!!!
