I have a 01' and was getting 450 to 475km per tank!

Then I added a 2" lift 30" tyres and a CAI

Now I'm getting 350 to 375km a tank!

Also depends on the size of the tank? Is the Australian tank smaller?

Well the tank is 60 litres with 55 useable litres,, so if i get 450 you would think its good..only thing i think may affect it is that its winter here at the moment

Here in the US,20 miles to the gallon is what the owners manual states is normal.

I get about 20-22 MPG if i keep my foot out of it.

99 Sportage Soft Top-2WD A/T.
14.5 gallon(55liters) tank at 22 MPG.=319 miles per tank.
Which = 513 KM.Per tank.WOO HOO!I thought my millage was bad.

In the USA our fuel is part alcohol. 95% of all gasoline has a minimum of 10% alcohol. There is also a product called E-85 that has more alcohol in it.

This has ben done to help solve the alleged oil shortage and to shore up our supplies. About the only thing it has done is to raise up the cost of food products that use corn as its base supply.

Our mileage is also less when using alcohol in our fuel supply. My 2002 4 door Sporty gets 18 on the highway and 16 in town while using the air conditioning. With out air on it is 19 and 17 so not much better. I do not have to drive much during the day so I can live with the millage at $3.00 per gallon.

Just replaced the engine fan on my 2001 before a long road trip this weekend, with the new fan (old one was kinda siezed, and causing extra drag on the engine) I'm getting into the 500km range on a tank! Which turns out to be 22MPG beats the 15MPG I was getting before!

I got a 2000 sportage, I get about 270Km on half a tank, can't fill it to the top since there is a hole in the tank.
