Default 2WD-KIA Front Wheel Bearings.

Cant find it in the tech manuals. All i can find is 4WD.Theres a Smooth Round nut thats crimped to the spindle holding the hub on.They have no cotter pin.Want to lube the bearings.

Do you just take out the kink to get them off?
When you put it back together whats the preload procedure?

Oh yeah, should say it's a,

Most of the Sportage units have a sealed type bearing. You just remove the clip and press out the old one and press in the new one and put the clip back in.
I'm dealing with a 2001Kia Rio front wheel bearings. Those require a special tool that dosen't seem to be available to preload the bearings. The previous set I put in, I guess I screwed up the pre load, they only lasted 20,000 miles.
That nut on the axle holds the axle in. You peen the nut to create a self locking function. Red or green lock tight will do the same thing.
Don't use much green lock tight, or you will have to use a torch to get the nut off the next time.
