engine troubles

so i have a 2000 sportage EX, and i had was driving it and it died. i took it to get it fixed and it had a cracked engine block, thus i needed a new engine, so i had it replaced. but now i'm having more problems. sometimes the car will not start... it will turn over, but not start! sometimes it starts first try, other times it takes me 20 miniutes of sitting there turning the key trying to get the engine to finally start... so it turns over, but doesnt start... what's wrong anyone?! please help i'm so lost when it comes to this... thanks!!!

Go back to the people who did your engine work. It is probably a problem with a ground or an electrical connection. They had all the wiring apart or disconnected when doing the engine job and probably did not get the wiring connectors together correctly.

Sportys have a grounding problem also. Check all the grounds
