Exclamation 2000 Kia Sportage

Ok, so my Kia has been sitting for about 2 months now. Before, it would start and have a real rough idle and even backfire. Now that it has been sitting it won't start. We have replaced the battery, but it will not turn over. I don't think it is the starter because it is making the wurr, wurr sound. Not the clicking sound you here when the starter is out. Any ideas? They would be appreciated!!!
Thanks!

Oh yeah, do you think it would be the ingnition fuse, the spark plugs or fuel filter/pump?

From what you posted I understand that the starter is turning the engine but it's not firing right?

When were the plugs and coil packs changed last, when was the timming belt changed? If you have the original timming belt chances are it's gone south, same with the plugs and packs.

Thanks! We got it started today, but it is still running rough, we are going to change the spark plugs in a couple days and see if that helps. Also, where is the fuel filter and stuff, we tried to look it up online and it says it is in the back under the carpet but we can't find it. What are we missing?

Plug would cause it to run rough, and having it sit for a few months probbally make it a bitch to start!

Try the GSW site for more info, it's a FREE online kia repair/shop manual
