Default Hydraulic Valves Adjusters Kia Sportage 2000

Does anyone know how to adjust the hydraulic valves on a Kia Sportage 2000 2.0L a/t. gas driven, when passing 40 mph it starts to make noise inside engine.

The valve adjusters are self adjusting (automatic) if they are making a noise then they could be stuck. Running some seafoam or other additive thru the engine (in the crank not the gas) should clear it up if it is a case of sticky adjusters. If it does not clear up that way you may have a stuck/worn lash adjuster thats needs replacing or the intake valves are not seating correctly, which requires the head to be pulled and the valve seats to be honed! or you could live with it!

Mine did the same. My 20 year old son said I should drain out a quart of my oil and put a quart of LUCAS Stop Lifter Noise additive in its place. Did this and after driving 10 miles and stopping then restarting engine the noise went away.
