OK! Here is the skinny!

The bigest tire you can fit with the STOCK rim and NO lift is 30x9.5 although they look gay without a lift, you can fit 31x10.5 with a min of a 2 inch lift, however this really kills and highway speeds, you would top out at 110kph if you were lucky.

If you are looking for a tire for daily use and not off-roading then I would go with somthing smaller than a 30 inch, as the larger tires rob power and suck gas. If you are doing some off-roading you'd want a 30 or higher, with a really decent tred, and you'd need to buy 5, the spare you have now will not help if you get a flat with those big tires.

You can get suspension lifts ranging from 2 to 4 inchs and body lifts from 1 3/8 to 3 inchs.

I just put 30x9.5's with a 2 inch lift on this past week, the tires and lift gave a combined lift of 4.5 inchs from body to the ground, but since the lowest point of the car is the diff pumpkin the only way to get more clearance there is bigger tires, the 30's gave me 2.5 inchs more space there.

then you should stick with stock size. this engine is underpowered, evidenced by the fact that it only gets 21 mpg tops. which ids bad for a 4 cylinder and in a 2 mile flat strech i can only get it up to 85 mph
