Default Could I swap a Kia sportage cylinder head for Mazda 626's one?!?

Hi,
I have a Kia Sportage (1996 EXECUTIVE, 2.0 16 valves petrol engine), but without the cylinder head at the moment.

Somebody has said that I could replace the Kia Sportage 2.0 16 valves cylinder head with Mazda 626 2.0 16 valves one.

Does anybody know anything about it?

The reason for that is that the Mazda cylinder head is much cheaper to buy.

thanks

if you dont have the original factory cylinder head to go by, sensor location is important and emisions equipment location. a friend gave me a mazda twin cam cylinder head and it had different sensor locations!!!
your best bet is to by a rebuilt head with a waranty, it willsave you a lot of hassles down the road !!!

The Mazda head cannot be used in place of the Kia head as is is not identiacal to the Kia head.
