Default this is a dumb brake question

ok, the other day my wife came home with a flat in the front o/s tire.so i was out in the rain to change it.When i got the wheel off i noticed a small rubber hose going to the brakes had snapped.I know nothing about such things and the brakes seem fine ,so my first question. Is it dangerous to drive and what is the hose for?

that is most likly the hose for the vaccuum assist hubs so now you dont have 4wd it is safe to drive.

now that you caught it early you dont need new bearings. you can either replace the hose on both sides. or plug hose on the wheel side and get warn replacement hubs.

or ignore it and replace the bearings in 6 mos
