Default Fuel Consumption

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum but I have a question. I have a 2001 Kia Sportage with approx 90K miles on it. Up until about 5-7000 miles ago I was getting about 320 miles to a tank of gas. That has since dropped down to about 260-270.

I have done the regular maint (oil changes, air filter, tune up, fuel filter) Anyone have any thoughts on what I can do? I lost more that 5 miles per gallon!!

can be a number of things, winter mix the petrolium puts out for gas might cause this. a oxigen sensor going out also, a cat going out also.

and how are you getting 300 miles a tank i have a 2000 and i only am able to drive 200+ miles a tank roughly 20mpg

I have a 01 which i was asking the same question on fuel economy. Mine on the highway gets about 22mpg and that equals out to be about 280 mpt. I'm hoping once the summer blend comes out I can push somewhere around 26mpg or so. Which would be right around what I would expect out of it.
