Default gas smell coming from defrost and heat?

when i turn on my heat or defrost i get this real strong smell of gas that fills the inside of the car. weird thing is it only does it on defrost and heat, if you put it on a/c you can't smell it. any ideas?

had the same problem fixed by the dealer a month ago. rubber fuel hose was leaking badly. only acted real bad when it was real cold outside(expansion & contraction). they fixed some diaphram also. 2001 sportage special edition 57000 miles.

I had the same thing, dealer couldn't find. One Sat afternoon and all is well. Appears one of the 3 bolts holding the fuel rail was a little loose allowing fuel out while cold, when it expanded when warm leak stopped.
I took off the fuel rail and re-installed and that fixed it. It has been months now and no leak.
