I have three seperate issues with my 2002 kia 4x4 4dr automatic vehicle. I would appreciate any opinions of them. Thanks for your time.
1 - Sometimes when I start the car after its been sitting awhile I get a LOUD sound similar to a Vacuum-Cleaner that lasts approximately until the car warms up.
2- Rattling sound I assume its from the muffler system near the rear. It is not constant. Varies with throttle and occurs when idling in park, neutral or while actually driving.
3- Shifting noise - I hear a metal on metal clunk sometimes when shifting Between Park, Drive and Reverse. This is an automatic vehicle. (I was told by dealer this is normal for kias- I somehow doubt that )
4- Fan constantly blowing air - Air temp can be changed by switching heat control. Please note this air is barely blowing and of course the fan is turned off via the controls. Is this normal or just part of the vent systems normal operation?

1. that sounds like the radiator fan ( Note I have a manual so I dont know the sounds from the auto trans.)
2. More accuratly its the heat shields, bend them, remove them whatever you like.
3. Again since I have a manual, I would not know if it is a transmision problem, but a clung can be heard also from the center axle and the differencial...
4. Which fan do you mean?
