Hi everyone. I have a 2000 Sportage that I am having a problem with. When the car is under load there is a stutter or hesitation when you put the car under power. It seems to be getting worse. We had the 60k service done on it and also replaced the fuel filter but neither have help the problem. I was wondering of others have had the same problem and know what else I might do ti fix it?

Did you replace the fuel filter? I guess you also did a tune up?

Yes we did the 60k service and also replaced the fuel filter. At full load it seems to runs smooth, but when you are accerating it hesitiates. some days are worse than others. we also ran some fuel injector cleaner and dry gas through it. Have not done anything with the spark plugs or coils yet.

I noticed an improvement in performance generally when I replaced my spark plugs with Bosch platinum units and the plug wires. I didn't have to replace a coil. I used the single electrode plugs, but others say the multi electrode plugs are excellent.

Thanks, I checked the plugs and re-gapped them. If that doesn't work I plan to
replace then.
