I have seen info on this board suggesting that it is ok to cut the clamps for the fuel filter and retrofit clamps old on the ends. DO NOT DO THIS. as unreliable as the plastic ends to be squeezed they do an adquite job of keeping the fuel filter nice and leak free. and any retro fitting you may attempt most likly will fail

i highly recomend you

A. regularly replace the fuel filter. one to keep the fuel line servicable two improve gas milage.
b replace the fuel lines if you cannot squeeze the ends to release the fuel filter. they are just under 40$ a piece and dont cut them.

if you are reading this you can guess what i tried. luckly i had enough sense to not bother with retrofitting let alone attempt to start the car

if you have done a retrofit of fuel lines i suggest before you post your modd you have pictures proving you dont leak and procedures wise.
