Every now and again when I release the accelerator pedal the revs stay at about 2000 for 5 - 10 seconds then drop . Does anybody know what could be the cause of this?

Thank You

Anyone else familiar with this? Isn't the Sportage a drive by wire setup? I remember KiaMech saying something about the two capacators or something helping the computer know when to increase/decrease throttle... when one goes out or starts to go, that response may be a little sluggish or non existant.

Clean the connectors on the IAC -TPS and MAF Sensors, it,s a known
problem on the Sportage, they are Bosch sensors with cheap Korean
connectors, the only real cure is do the same as AXEMAN in the USA
cut the connectors off and SOLDER the wires direct to the sensors.
