1997 Kia Sportage Radio Code Installation

I was wondering if anybody knows how to get the hold off the radio and install the code on a 1997 Kia Sportage.

the code is 1111 and to add the code i think you have to push and hold the sel or push and release (one or the other) button and then press the #1 preset twice until you see 1 for the first digit then then i think you hit #2 twice for the second digit and #3 twice for the third digit and #4 for the fourth until 1111 is displayed then i believe you shut the power off on the radio and turn it back on, let me know if this works, all kia radios that require a code is set for 1111
