Since my original post below I have come up with a resolution.

I don't know if it will work for both the 2 door soft top amd 4 door hard top model because I only have the 2 door.

The rear seat has 3 sets of seat belts. Talk a good look back there....do you ever think you will be able to get 3 adults back there? My one and two year old don't leave enough space for a 3rd child.

I cut the band on both parts of the middle seat belt where they go through the metal seat belt anchors which are mounted to the floor just behind the rear seat.

A single Child car seat will clip to these quite nicely after removing the small plastic piece that was to keep the anchor from cutting the seat belt.

If you want to put in two child seats you can clip one just below the bolt on the left side of the back seat and the other side through the now cleared seat belt anchor. The second clips the same way only on the other side.

Moving the seats from one Kia (we also have a 2003 Spectra) to the other now takes only a couple minutes.

"I'm looking for Kia or generic child seat anchors I can install for the rear seat in my 2000 Sportage 2dr (soft top).

My kids love riding in the sportage but it's a HUGE pain getting their seats in using just the belts.

I suspect someone somewhere has installed these?"
