I need to install a cd player in my sportage. So my questions are...

1-) How can i remove factory installed radio?
2-) Will any after-market cd player fit in my kia-sportage?
Jay.

Thanks In Advance

Read the post from aldochaves. "Radio Removal" a few lines down on this page.
He was asking about a '95, same as mine so yours might be different. As far as "any cd player", I would presume not. When you get the factory unit out, take some measurements and look where the mounting holes are. You might need an adapter to get the holes to line up. I put a pioneer single cd in mine by modifying the existing bracket. Most single player DIN units have similar dimensions.

On the 2000 Sportage, pull the trim plate from around the radio-pocket-heater ane air controls. Remove the four screws from the radio assembly brackets and pull out. A single DIN player will fit. Just place the brackets on the new unit and reinstall.
