the fan only has an impact to the radiator and its coolant inside.

Altough, do not underestrmate the power behind it or should I say the force onto its axle. A misalligned fan can do irrepairable damage to the engine due to even the smallest vibration going to it from the iaxle to its packing ring and so on!
the fan should have be perfectly straightened, adn don't expect it to alligne itself.
been there, done that with a Ford marine engine ai ai ai!!!
