Cupholder

The cupholder on my 1999 Sportster EX will not stay closed. This makes it a two person operation to adjust the climate controls. Could someone explain the operation/repair/replacement procedures?

If you can't fix it, and need a replacement let me know. I have removed mine and it is store in my garage with misc. other factory sportage parts.
