recent complaint from the better half has been low idle/stall at stop lights or traffic jams.... other than the normal maintenace stuff, I'm due for smog this month, aret there other things that I should look over....
sure wish I could find a Haynes for a 2000 Sportage, seems like the vehicle is getting old enough were they would be interested in publishing something...

Clear the computer
Check Idel air control valve
Kick over cliff ..lol
Sometimes you can clean them out with some carb cleaner....take it off and breake it down till you see the cylinder and srya it off real good...SOMETIMES it works did twice on mine before it went finaly

Try cleaning the the electrical connecters on the IAC TSP
and the MAF, then recrimp them.
