I,m new here but hope you can help. I have a 2001 Kia Sportage. Yesterday it started to run real bad, backfiring and no pickup. I had some check it out and they said it was the plugs and coils. I just replaced them and heres the new problem. When I started it up the engine ran very smoothly but now won't idle. I took it around the block and it wouldn't shift properly either. Now both the check engine light and the "HOLD" light from the trans stays on. Did I do something with the throttle linkage? Everything was plugged back in correctly.I had to remove it to get to the sparkplugs. Any suggestions where to start would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
