Squealing When I Tirn The Tires

Hi there, my 97 Kia Sportage 4x4 has developed a new problem. When I turn the tires sharply (such as parking) the car squeals- this squealing occurs weather I turn hard, or soft, and starts from the beginning of the turn until the turn is complete. I have plenty of fluid- I did air up the tires and the squealing isn't as loud, but it's still there when I turn- This is NOT from turning to hard or forcing the steering wheel- It squeals when you barely turn it. If the car is moving when I trun the wheel, it barely squeals. I'm hoping it's a belt, or something relativly cheap to fix. Any ideas? Thanks!!

is it in 4-wheel drive? My parents had an astro van that did this too- but it was the tires. If your in 4-wheel drive your wheels will be working against each other in tight turns.

Hi everyone,

It ended up being my belts- I had all of the belts replaced to the tune of $130.00- not too bad and now people don't stare at me hen I park! Thanks for the help, guys- it's appreciated!!
