i have a 2001 sportage. the electric mirror and cigarette lighter quit working. i checked and they tun off the same fuse. i changed the fuse and it still doesnt work. anyone out there have a simular problem?

Do you also have the original factory stereo? If yes, see if it works too. If it does not then you have a defective ignition switch.

Let me know and we'll take it from there.

yes, it does have factory stereo and it is working.

Send me an e-mail at mjats@juno.com and I'll send you the section of the electrical manual that you'll need to troubleshoot this problem. I would have expected the stereo to also not work since it is tied into the same circuit thru the iginition switch as the lighter and mirrors. So something else must be wrong.
