Newbie!!!

Good day to everyone...

I own a Kia Sportage 2000 w/ a diesel engine. So far I'm happy with the performance it has provided for everyday use and off road as well. My Sportage has taken alot of punishment in the last 4 years!

However in the past weeks, it takes me 2-3 tries to start it up and whem I do my engine check warning light starts blinking.
Kia mechanics said there' s nothing wrong with it and just gave it an oil change and a tune up. A week later its still the same.

Any good advice?
Anyone?
I've grown attached and I don't want to just get rid of it.
Plaese help me.

Silly question, but did the "mechanics" check the glow plugs? I had the same problem with a Ford diesel engine,installed new plugs, everything was OK. Ask the garage what they actually did in the tune up..
