I now have the instructions for programming the new fobs myself - will share if anyone is interested.

However I need to find the RKE module which according to the instructions I have has a 'pigtail' with a switch on for turning the module into programming mode. I am told it should be under the centre console - if it is i can't find it.

Does anyone know where the module is located on a 1997 Sportage RHD UK supplied vehicle??

Please help as I don't want to get ripped off by the local dealer.

Are you sure you have the correct instructions?
The pages covering the sportages various locking system are plentiful!
If it's the GT alarm (orange 2 button fob) there should be a yellow wire under the dash above the pedals iirc.
