Sportage shop manuals and electrical manuals are available hardcopy at Http://www.helminc.com

But they do have a tendency to be out of stock.

A condensed version of the shop manual and full electrical manual is available on line at http://www.kiatechinfo.com

If you are in dire need of a full shop manual and Helm is out of stock contact me at mjats@juno.com and I can help.

I've recently purchased a 2000 Kia Sportage that did not come with the owner's manual. I've looked at the suggestions below and, while great, seem to really offer no help.

www.books4cars.com wants $70 for a manual, www.kiatechinfo.com is now a pay only service and www.helminc.com only has a manual available in Spanish.

I located one for sale on eBay but it is for a 2002 model. The seller states that the manual is good for all Sportages from 1999-2002. Can anyone tell me if that is correct? I'd love to have one just so I can learn my way around the car (my first Kia and first SUV) but I'm not willing to shell out $70 just to get one.

Thanks!

There are minor differences 1999 - 2002 but they are insignificant from an owner's manual perspective. The 2002 manual will be fine.
