Need Help!!!

so I was getting this code and two others relating to missfire. checked and had oil in cylinder 4. so did valve cover gasket, new plugs, new wires and boots. put it all together. had to call AAA to jump battery was dead. they jumped and tested battery said ok.. test drive got same code back missfire cylinder 3. back in garage , rechecked everything, 1 hour later had to jump again, this time my wife had the other car back. same code after short test drive , total running time 10 min,. back in garage, turned off and tried immediate restart battery dead.

so needless to say ready to set fire to her 2001 sporty.lol

is it possible to get those codes with a bad alternator?

by the way wont go above 10mph at most floored.. was doing that when had it towed home 3 weeks ago.. yes took me a while to get to it, parts back order etc.

any help would be appreciated.

You are operating the vehicle with a dead battery, the alternator is not designed to bring the battery to full charge from dead, put it on a charger overnight..

Check the HT wires and coil boots for any contamination/deterioration, and pull the plugs, clean/replace properly adjusted...

Also check and make sure the battery cable clamps are tight. It's been about a year and a half I was stranded in a parking lot because I had nothing.

My Sporty started fine when I left but my stereo (aftermarket) was acting funny. I wiggled the clamps and my negative clamp was loose. I got out my tools I carry with me, tightened down and viola! All was fine.
