1998 sportage antifreeze leak. HELP!
I have a 1998 Sportage four wheel drive. I've replace the timing belt and I just recently replaced the front drivers side axle needle bearing in the hub. They went out because the vacum host cracked and let water into the hub and dried out the needle bearings. I couldn't find a part number for a local parts house, the dealer had some in California. After measuring the bearing I discoverd they were a standard 1/2" x 1 1/8" X 1 3/8. I bought one at a bearing store and it seems to be working fine. A couple of day I discoverd a antifreeze leak under the car by the bell housing. It looks to be coming from the back of the engine in the bell houseing. My first thought are a freeze plug failure. I was hoping someone has a quicker fix to this issue other than pulling the engine. Any ideas? Someone give me an easy magical fix Please.
