No headlights

I have a 1999 Kia Sportage 2wd. I was driving down the road, headlights flickered and stayed on. A few days later, headlights flickered and stayed off. My headlights will not come on now. I can turn parking lights on and turn signals. Bulbs are good, and relays are good. (new) Put a new multifunction/headlight switch in it, and still no headlights. Is it possible i got another bad switch? Or is there other issues? Also does anyone have a wiring diagram available?

Greetings,
Headlight schematic attached. Wouldn't hurt to check the ground on that circuit at the headlights and put a fused jumper from v+ to that headlight relay output terminal. If the lights work from that test then check the relay ground and see if you have a v+ at the input of the relay with the light switch turned on. Just remember to use a fused jumper and that the relay and or circuit has the proper ground. A non fused jumper will burn through a harness is seconds. You won't know it until you smell it.

I used to have a van where if the emergency brake was pressed in just a tiny bit, it would cause the headlights to not come on. Does our KIA have any switches attached to the brake?

I own my second Sportage so I must really like em. I consider this one to be my second husband. Main issue with mine was the Timing Key(woodruff)

Is your high-beam indicator coming on but the headlights are not? I had this problem and found the plugs that go onto the headlight bulbs to not have a good contact with the bulbs... I wiggled them and they would come on, and flicker... I suggest cleaning the contacts... they make contact cleaning sprays, but i use wd40 or pb and push the connectors on the bulb a few times...

I have a 2000 and just started having issues with the headlights. When I turn them on the high beam light comes on in low beam position. When I switch to high beam they go out. Am I looking at a headlight switch?

It turned out both of the headlight plugs needed to be replaced. Not a simple job for the passenger side without any room. Oh well it is done.

I'm having exactly the same problem! If I leave the headlight switch in the "on" position, and the light have gone out, I hear the relays clicking under the dash. I tried wiggling them, but that didn't seem to help.

Also, my dashboard lights frequently go out. Sometimes they come on if I smack the dashboard with my hand, but they quickly go out again. Most likely a ground or loose wire??? I don't think the two are related, but not sure...HELP!!!

My problem was solved by checking the 20amp fuse under the hood.
It wasn't making a good connection. Sprayed the plug-in with contact cleaner. Fuse plastic was melted, but still works! Will replace tomorrow.
