Exclamation New alternator and battery, battery dies within 3 days of use!

I have a 1996 Kia Sehia that has a new alternator, and battery, but when I use the car for a few days the battery dies. Can anyone help me out with this.

Mahalo in advance, Shane.

Welcome to the forum.

Best get a multimeter on the battery with the engine running, and if it reads 13.8 ~ 14.2 V , then it confirms the alternator is charging and you have a bad battery, but if the voltage is any lower than that it means the alternator is bad.

Thank you ron1004! You are a big help. I was doubting that anyone would reply, but I think this forum will be a big help to me! And again thank you.

New question: When in any gear, I can move the shifter all the way over, but still be in the selected gear. Do I just need to tighten some stuff up?

It sounds like you gear shift linkages are worn, and most often that requires new bushes, but first investigate it just in case something is loose.
